Union Minister Chairs Key Meeting on Zoo Authority and Unveils New Zoo Compendium

Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Shri Bhupender Yadav, chaired the 45th Meeting of the Central Zoo Authority at the Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy in Dehradun. The meeting focused on reviewing the progress of the Management Effectiveness Evaluation of zoos and introduced strategic initiatives such as conservation breeding programs and modernization ideas for the National Zoological Park in New Delhi. A publication, ‘Care in Captivity’, showcasing best practices in zoo management was also launched, emphasizing animal welfare and educational aspects.
