Union Minister Flags Off 435 MW Solar Plant in Rajasthan

Union Minister Shri Pralhad Joshi inaugurated the 435 MW Gorbea Solar Power Project in Rajasthan, highlighting the state's significant shift towards renewable energy, with nearly 70% of its power capacity now sourced from renewables. The project, developed by Zelestra India, will generate 755 GWh of clean electricity annually, powering approximately 1.28 lakh homes and reducing carbon emissions by 7.05 lakh tonnes. The initiative also empowers local farmers and communities, employs local workers, and utilizes advanced solar technology. Joshi emphasized the importance of policy reforms and investment in renewable energy, marking a new chapter in India's clean energy journey.
