Union Minister George Kurian to Engage with Fishers in Kerala

On October 25, 2025, Union Minister of State Shri George Kurian will participate in the Fisheries Outreach and Awareness Programme in Thrissur and Ernakulam districts, Kerala. The initiative aims to educate fishers and fish farmers about government welfare schemes to enhance livelihoods and promote sustainable practices. The minister will distribute Kisan Credit Cards, transponders, and NFDP registration certificates while engaging with local stakeholders to address their challenges and opportunities in the fisheries sector. The events are expected to attract over 500 participants and highlight the government's commitment to strengthening the fisheries infrastructure in Kerala.
