Union Minister Highlights National Overseas Scholarships for SC Students

The National Overseas Scholarship scheme awarded to Scheduled Caste students has benefitted 600 students over the past five years, with 133 recipients being women. The scheme, under the Ministry of Women and Child Development, spans the period 2021-2026 and is currently under review for possible extension. This information was conveyed by the Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Shri Ramdas Athawale, during a session in the Rajya Sabha.
