Union Minister Launches Jal Shakti Hackathon 2025 for Water Innovation
On December 9, 2025, Union Minister of Jal Shakti, Shri C. R. Patil, launched the 'Jal Shakti Hackathon–2025' at Shram Shakti Bhawan, New Delhi. This initiative aims to foster innovation in India's water sector as part of the broader 'Water Vision @2047' aligned with PM Narendra Modi's goals. The hackathon is set as a national movement to mobilize collective talent towards a secure and technology-driven water future in India. The Bharat-WIN Portal will support participants from diverse sectors including startups and women-led enterprises. The project encourages collaborative innovation through Jan Bhagidari, with financial aid for selected proposals and grants for concept development.
