Union Minister Reviews Gorakhpur Nuclear Project Progress

Union Minister for Power, Shri Manohar Lal, visited the Gorakhpur Haryana Anu Vidyut Pariyojana (GHAVP) to assess the progress of the nuclear power project by NPCIL. The project will establish 4 x 700 MWe Pressurised Heavy Water Reactors, with 50% of the generated electricity allocated to Haryana. Key milestones include the first concrete pour by October 2025 and commercial operations expected by March 2031. The Minister also highlighted NPCIL's CSR initiatives, including community development and public outreach programs.
