Union Minister for Rural Development, Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan, presented the Viksit Bharat–Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) or VB–G RAM G Bill, 2025 in the Lok Sabha. This bill seeks to ensure 125 days of guaranteed wage employment annually for rural families, as a step towards comprehensive village development, aligning with Mahatma Gandhi’s vision. The initiative promises to invest over ₹95,000 crore and aims to improve underdeveloped panchayats by grading them for better resource allocation. The bill underscores commitment to enhancing rural welfare, balancing agriculture and labour, and establishes additional security for marginalized groups, in line with Gandhian principles.
