Unprecedented Spiritual Turnout in Russia as India’s Sacred Buddha Relics Draw Over 50,000 Devotees
The exposition of Sacred Relics of Lord Buddha from India at the Geden Sheddup Choikorling Monastery in Elista, Kalmykia, has attracted over 50,000 devotees since its opening on October 11, 2025. Led by Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya, a high-level Indian delegation is conducting religious services for the predominantly Buddhist population of Kalmykia.
