Update on Day Care Cancer Centres in India

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has approved the establishment of over 200 Day Care Cancer Centres (DCCCs) across India for the financial year 2025-26. These centres will primarily be set up in district hospitals, with funding from the National Health Mission. The initiative aims to address cancer treatment gaps identified through a national analysis, focusing on high-burden districts. The government plans to establish DCCCs in all district hospitals within three years.
