The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has reported significant actions taken to strengthen the Ayushman Bharat - Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) against fraud. A total of 3,167 hospitals have been penalized for irregularities, with 1,114 de-empaneled and fines amounting to ₹122 crore levied on 1,504 hospitals. The National Health Authority (NHA) has established a robust anti-fraud framework and provides real-time data dashboards to enhance accountability and transparency across states and union territories.
