As of June 2025, 479 Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) are operational in India. The government has sanctioned 38,480 teaching and non-teaching posts, with 10,391 positions filled in the first recruitment phase. Initiatives to enhance digital education and skill development for tribal students include smart classrooms, computer labs, and free coaching for competitive exams. A dedicated DTH channel, EKLAVYA, has also been launched for curriculum-based learning.
