Upgrade of Anganwadi Centres to Saksham Anganwadi Centres

The Ministry of Women and Child Development has announced that over 57,000 Anganwadi Centres have been upgraded to Saksham Anganwadi Centres as part of the Mission Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0 initiative. This program aims to enhance nutrition delivery and early childhood education by improving infrastructure and resources at these centres. A total of 2 lakh centres are set to be upgraded, with the central government overseeing policy and planning while state governments handle implementation.
