UPSC Expands Examination Centres for 2026 Civil Services Exam

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has introduced three new examination centres in Bhubaneswar, Kanpur, and Meerut for the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination-2026. This expansion aims to reduce congestion at existing centres and provide more accessible and candidate-friendly locations. Nearly 23,000 candidates have opted for these new centres. The initiative also includes a commitment to inclusivity for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities, allowing them to choose their preferred centres. UPSC has received over 8,19,000 applications this year and plans future improvements based on candidate preferences.
