Urban Schemes for the Urban Poor: MoHUA's Initiatives

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) has implemented several schemes targeting urban poverty alleviation. The Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana - National Urban Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NULM), now concluded, along with PM SVANidhi and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Urban (PMAY-U), forms a robust framework for supporting urban livelihoods, housing and street vendors. The PMAY-U initiative has transitioned to a 2.0 version to extend its reach and benefits under the 'Housing for All' Mission.
