The Periodic Labour Force Survey (PLFS) Monthly Bulletin for April 2026, released by the Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation, reveals stable urban Worker Population Ratio (WPR) and a notable decrease in urban female Unemployment Rate (UR) to its lowest level in a year. The Labour Force Participation Rate (LFPR) slightly softened to 55.0%, while urban female UR fell to 8.5%, highlighting a promising trend in urban female workforce participation.
