Use of Artificial Intelligence in Supreme Court

The Supreme Court of India is implementing Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) tools for case management, including transcribing oral arguments and translating judgments into 18 Indian languages. Collaborating with IIT Madras, the court is developing tools for defect identification and data extraction, with a focus on enhancing decision-making processes. The AI tool SUPACE is in the experimental stage, aimed at improving case analysis and efficiency.
