Utilisation of Deuterium in Godavari River

The Ministry of Earth Sciences has announced the use of H2S-H2O Bi-Thermal chemical exchange technology for extracting Deuterium from the Godavari River at Manuguru, Telangana. A similar facility is also operational in Kota, Rajasthan, for extracting Deuterium from Rana Pratap Sagar Lake. This information was provided by Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State for various departments, in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha.
