Van Dhan Yojana Implementation in Jammu and Kashmir

The Ministry of Tribal Affairs, led by Union Minister Shri. Jual Oram, announced the implementation of the Van Dhan Yojana in Jammu and Kashmir under the Pradhan Mantri Janjatiya Vikas Mission (PMJVM). With financial backing from the Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India Limited (TRIFED), this initiative aims to establish Van Dhan Vikas Kendras (VDVKs) to boost tribal economies. As of March 13, 2026, 100 VDVKs have been sanctioned in Jammu and Kashmir, involving 29,791 members, and operational funds amounting to Rs. 1457 lakhs have been allocated. Nationwide, TRIFED has supported 4125 VDVKs, impacting over 12 lakh members.
