Vesting Orders Issued for 7 Coal Blocks Under Commercial Auctions

The Ministry of Coal has issued Vesting Orders for 7 coal blocks under commercial auctions, following the signing of Coal Mine Development and Production Agreements on March 27, 2025. The blocks, which include Dahegaon Makardhokra IV and Saradhapur Jalatap East, are expected to generate an annual revenue of approximately Rs. 1,327 crores and attract capital investment of around Rs. 2,455 crores, providing employment to about 18,522 people. This brings the total to 116 coal blocks allocated under commercial auctions, generating an estimated annual revenue of Rs. 37,000 crores and creating jobs for around 353,000 individuals. Notably, Western Coalfields Limited has successfully secured a coal block, highlighting the Ministry's commitment to equal opportunities in the coal sector.
