Vice President Inaugurates SIRI Mathrushree Industrial Park, Praises Women-Led Social Transformation
The Vice-President of India, Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan, inaugurated the SIRI Mathrushree Industrial Park in Belthangady, Karnataka, highlighting the park as a model of women-led social transformation and inclusive development. Lauding SIRI’s efforts in empowering women and creating rural livelihoods, the Vice-President emphasized the institution's role in India's journey towards self-reliance and rural empowerment. He also spoke on the importance of respecting all religions and discouraging forced conversions, aligning with the values upheld by Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala. The Vice-President praised Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade’s dedication to social transformation and appreciated Smt. Hemavathi V. Heggade’s contributions to women empowerment, indicating that support from life partners strengthens social missions. He highlighted SIRI’s combination of traditional skills and modern practices as a model for replication across India, fostering a self-reliant, socially responsible and inclusive development vision.
