Vidyanjali Programme Expands to Over 850,000 Schools

The Vidyanjali programme, launched in September 2021 under the National Education Policy 2020, has achieved significant expansion by enrolling over 8.5 lakh schools and coordinating with 5 lakh volunteers across India as of February 2026. This initiative, aimed at strengthening government and government-aided schools, leverages community and private sector involvement to improve students' holistic development and learning outcomes. Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Minister of State for Education, Shri Jayant Chaudhary, provided these updates in a recent address to the Rajya Sabha.
