Welfare Initiatives for Siddi Tribe by Ministry of Tribal Affairs

The Ministry of Tribal Affairs has launched the Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya MahaAbhiyaN (PM JANMAN) to enhance the socio-economic conditions of the Siddi tribe and other Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) across India. The initiative aims to provide essential facilities such as housing, clean water, education, and health services, with a budget of ₹24,104 Cr. The Siddi community, primarily located in Gujarat, is also supported by state-level schemes like the Mukhyamantri Adimjuth Sarvangi Utkarsh Yojana, which has allocated ₹1490.83 lacs over five years for their development. Various cultural initiatives are also in place to promote Siddi heritage and arts.
