"White Revolution 2.0" Boosts Women's Role in Dairy Sector

The Ministry of Cooperation has launched the cooperative-led "White Revolution 2.0," targeting a 50% increase in milk procurement by dairy cooperatives over the next five years. The initiative, funded by the National Dairy Development Program 2.0, will set up 75,000 new Dairy Cooperative Societies and strengthen 46,422 existing ones, with a particular focus on empowering women, who make up 70% of the dairy farming workforce.
