World's Largest Grain Storage Plan in Cooperative Sector

The Government of India has approved the 'World’s Largest Grain Storage Plan in Cooperative Sector' aimed at enhancing agricultural infrastructure through the establishment of godowns, processing units, and other facilities at the PACS level. The pilot project has already seen the completion of godowns in 11 states, with plans to construct more than 500 additional facilities by December 2026. The initiative also includes the establishment of new multipurpose PACS and the computerization of existing PACS to improve efficiency and connectivity with NABARD.
