Zero Customs Duty to Boost India's Nuclear Energy Sector

The Indian government announced a zero customs duty policy on the import of goods needed for nuclear power projects to enhance the economic viability of such projects. This policy, effective until 2035, aims to reduce project and electricity generation costs, facilitating quicker execution of nuclear projects, especially those involving foreign collaboration. Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh highlighted several initiatives for strengthening the domestic supply chain and advancing research at Bhabha Atomic Research Centre.
