196th Meeting of ESIC: Key Initiatives Launched
Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya chaired the 196th meeting of the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) in Shimla, where several initiatives were approved to enhance ESI coverage and healthcare delivery. Key initiatives include the re-launch of the SPREE Scheme to promote employer registration, the Amnesty Scheme – 2025 for dispute resolution, simplification of the damages framework, and the integration of traditional medicine into the ESI healthcare network. A pilot project with charitable hospitals was also approved to improve healthcare access for beneficiaries.
