Air Marshal Tejbir Singh Appointed as Director General (Inspection & Safety)

Air Marshal Tejbir Singh has been appointed as the new Director General of Inspection and Safety at Air HQ as of December 1, 2025. With a career spanning 37 years, Singh's experience includes positions such as Air Attaché to Bangladesh, and multiple leadership roles in the Indian Air Force. He was instrumental in introducing the C-130J ‘Super Hercules’ aircraft and has commanded significant airbases. For his service, he received the Vayu Sena Medal and Ati Vishisht Seva Medal in 2010 and 2018, respectively. Singh takes over from Air Marshal Makarand Bhaskar Ranade, who retired after 39 years of service.
