The Union Cabinet has approved a Rs.1,500 crore Incentive Scheme aimed at enhancing recycling capacity for critical minerals in India. This initiative, part of the National Critical Mineral Mission, will focus on recycling e-waste and Lithium Ion Battery scrap over a six-year period, with expected outcomes including the development of 270 kilo tons of recycling capacity, 40 kilo tons of critical mineral production, and the creation of approximately 70,000 jobs.
