CCEA Approves Major Indian Railways Multitracking Projects across Six States
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved three multitracking projects for the Indian Railways, covering 19 districts across Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana. These projects aim to expand the railway network by 901 kilometers, enhancing connectivity and operational efficiency. The total cost of these projects is estimated at Rs 23,437 crore, with completion expected by 2030-31.
