Census 2027: Preparation Underway in India

The Ministry of Home Affairs, through the Office of the Registrar General and Census Commissioner, is finalizing the questionnaire for the upcoming Census 2027. The census, which will follow previous practices, will involve primary school teachers as enumerators. Scheduled Castes and Tribes will be recorded as per the Constitution's Orders from 1950, and caste enumeration will follow the Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs' recent decision.
