ESIC Launches Outreach for Amnesty Scheme 2025
The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has initiated outreach activities for the Amnesty Scheme 2025, aimed at resolving legal disputes and reducing court case backlogs. The scheme, effective from October 1, 2025, allows employers to settle disputes through out-of-court mechanisms, addressing around 27,000 pending cases. Key features include settlement of assessments without damages, withdrawal of cases upon partial payment, and empowerment of regional officers to process withdrawals. This initiative supports the government's goal of enhancing ease of doing business and strengthening social security compliance.
