The Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions provided data indicating that there are no backlog vacancies in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and Indian Police Service (IPS). The allocation of IAS and IPS officers considers reservation guidelines, with 180 recruits annually for IAS and a separate count for IPS, ensuring representation from SC, ST, and OBC communities. The current cadre strength and filled positions across various states were detailed, covering updates till January 2025.
