Government Approves 6 National Cyber Forensic Laboratories to Combat Cyber Threats

The Indian government has sanctioned the creation of six National Cyber Forensic Laboratories within its Central Forensic Science Laboratories network to bolster cyber forensic capabilities against emerging cyber threats. The project involves a financial commitment of ₹126.84 crore. The facilities will be situated in Delhi, Kamrup, Bhopal, Pune, Chandigarh, and Kolkata, with some sites already operational and others underway. These labs are equipped with advanced forensic tools and are expected to significantly enhance the capacity of cyber forensic examinations by providing specialized infrastructure and expertise.
