Government Revises Export Duty Rates for Diesel and Aviation Turbine Fuel
The Ministry of Finance has issued a notification revising the Special Additional Excise Duty (SAED) and Road and Infrastructure Cess (RIC) rates applicable on diesel and aviation turbine fuel exports, effective from May 1, 2026. The duty on diesel exports is set at Rs. 23 per litre exclusively under SAED, while ATF exports will be taxed at Rs. 33 per litre under SAED. Export duty on petrol remains nil. These revisions follow a bi-weekly review aligned with international crude price fluctuations amid the ongoing West Asia crises.
