India Poised to Emerge as Global Aviation Hub by 2047
The Ministry of Civil Aviation, led by Minister Ram Mohan Naidu, held a high-level meeting at Delhi Airport to discuss readiness for India's transformation into a global aviation hub by 2047. The hub-and-spoke model aims to improve connectivity, reduce travel times, and position India as a major transit hub. Measures to liberalize domestic code-share arrangements and enhance air cargo hub capabilities are part of this strategy. The initiative is expected to create millions of jobs and significantly boost the economy.
