India Recognizes Over 55,200 Startups in FY 2025-26

The Indian government's Startup India initiative has recognized more than 55,200 startups in the financial year 2025-26, marking the highest recognition in any single year since the initiative's launch. This brings the total number of recognized startups to over 2.23 lakh, generating upwards of 23.36 lakh jobs. Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Uttar Pradesh are leading with the most startups and job creations. Government schemes like Fund of Funds for Startups have disbursed significant financial support, while public procurement through the Government e-Marketplace has facilitated startup growth.
