India to Establish Rare Earth Corridors in Four States
The Indian government announced the creation of Rare Earth Corridors in the states of Odisha, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu as part of the Union Budget 2026–27. These corridors are designed to enhance local mining, processing, research, and manufacturing capabilities, thereby reducing reliance on imports and increasing strategic self-reliance in sectors like electronics and renewable energy.
