India's Global Telecom Footprint Expands Through Revised TDIP Scheme

Scindia unveiled new guidelines for the Technology Development and Investment Promotion Scheme, with a ₹203 crore investment to enhance India's participation in global telecommunications standards and nurture indigenous 6G technology development. The revised TDIP Scheme strengthens India's role in international standardization bodies like the International Telecommunication Union and 3GPP, while broadening support to include startups and MSMEs. Key institutions such as Telecommunications Standards Development Society, India will implement the scheme, supporting pilot projects and fostering innovation.
