Karnataka Celebrates Milestone in Rooftop Solar Installations

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy announced that Karnataka has achieved over 14,000 rooftop solar installations under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, benefiting over 22,000 households. The initiative, part of India's broader renewable energy goals, includes provisions for easy registration, subsidized loans, and training programs to boost capacity building. Nationwide, the scheme has led to nearly 19 lakh rooftop installations. Plans are underway to further enhance solar capacity, although no immediate plans exist for new solar parks in North Karnataka.
