Ministry Implements Fisheries and Aquaculture Infrastructure Development Fund
The Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying has been implementing the Fisheries and Aquaculture Infrastructure Development Fund (FIDF) since the 2018-19 financial year. FIDF aims to enhance fisheries and aquaculture infrastructure in India, providing concessional financing for infrastructure projects across states and union territories. A total of 228 projects, with an approved cost of Rs. 5559.54 crore, have received support. These projects target various infrastructure developments such as fishing harbors, ice plants, cold storage facilities, and fish processing units among others.
