The Ministry of Cooperation has established National Cooperative Organics Limited (NCOL) under the Multi-State Co-operative Societies Act, 2002. NCOL will serve as an umbrella organization for various organic product businesses, facilitating aggregation, procurement, certification, testing, branding, and marketing. The brand 'Bharat Organics' is poised to enhance market access for producers in the Northeastern Region through structured supply chains and branding support. Additionally, NCOL has engaged with 181 Cooperative Societies in the North Eastern States and signed MoUs with nodal agencies for effective coordination.
