The Ministry of Mines, Government of India, has launched the second tranche of e-auction for limestone blocks across Jammu & Kashmir. This initiative, unveiled in Srinagar, aims to boost transparent and sustainable mineral development while attracting investment. A total of 12 limestone blocks in Anantnag, Rajouri, and Poonch are up for auction, following reforms to simplify mining processes. The blocks are expected to draw significant industry interest, particularly from cement and infrastructure sectors, contributing to economic growth and employment in Jammu & Kashmir.
