Ministry of Minority Affairs Implements PM VIKAS Scheme for Minority Empowerment
The Ministry of Minority Affairs is implementing the Pradhan Mantri Virasat Ka Samvardhan (PM VIKAS) scheme to empower six notified minority communities in India. Launched in January 2025, the scheme includes components such as skilling and training, women leadership, entrepreneurship, education, and infrastructure development. It aims to reach 1.51 lakh beneficiaries through various Project Implementing Agencies across India. The scheme has a budget allocation of Rs 267.29 crores for FY 2025-26. It is a Central Sector Scheme with pan-India implementation.
