Ministry of Tribal Affairs Enhances Educational Opportunities for ST Students

The Ministry of Tribal Affairs, led by Union Minister of State Shri Durgadas Uikey, has announced several scholarship schemes aimed at promoting education among Scheduled Tribe (ST) students. These include Pre-Matric and Post Matric Scholarships, a National Fellowship for Ph.D. scholars, and the National Overseas Scholarship (NOS) among others. The NOS specifically supports ST students pursuing education abroad, with annual slots limited to 20 and eligibility based on family income and admission into top 1000 QS World University ranked institutions.
