Port Development and Waterways in Kerala See Major Investments and Upgrades

The Vizhinjam International Seaport Project, a collaboration between the Government of Kerala and Adani Vizhinjam Port Private Limited, has commenced with significant investments from both governmental and private entities. The project aims to ramp up its capacity to 5.7 million TEUs annually by 2028 through an advanced phase that consolidates the next phases into one. Concurrently, the Indian Waterways Authority of India is enhancing infrastructure in National Waterways in Kerala to boost cargo handling and tourism.
