Progress Under PMKVY and Skill Development Initiatives

The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) has reported significant progress under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) and other skill development schemes. Since 2015, over 16 million candidates have been trained under PMKVY, with a focus on aligning skills with industry demands. The government has implemented various measures to enhance employability, including partnerships with tech companies and the establishment of the Skill India Digital Hub. Evaluations indicate positive outcomes, with many beneficiaries experiencing increased income and employment opportunities.
