Rs 1,142 Crore Finance Commission Grants Released to Four States for Rural Local Development

The Union Government of India has approved and distributed Rs 1,142 crore as untied grants from the Fifteenth Finance Commission for the financial year 2025–26. This fund allocation will benefit Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) and Rural Local Bodies (RLBs) across Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Punjab, and Mizoram, aimed at empowering grassroots governance and enabling need-based local development.
