Discovery of New Stellar Chemistry in Star A980
Scientists from the Indian Institute of Astrophysics have discovered a new type of stellar chemistry in the star A980, located 25,800 light years away in the Ophiuchus Constellation. This Extreme Helium star contains an unprecedented amount of germanium, a metallic element never before observed in this class of stars.
