Union Minister of State for Railways, V. Somanna, inaugurated the Tirupati–Sainagar Shirdi Express, aimed at improving interstate connectivity and promoting pilgrimage tourism. This direct train service significantly strengthens rail connectivity across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, and Maharashtra, linking the pilgrimage destinations of Tirupati and Shirdi. The train, with 31 stops including significant locations like Nellore, Guntur, Secunderabad, and Manmad, is expected to boost tourism, stimulate economic activity, and support regional development.
