India Joins BRICS Centre to Boost Manufacturing and MSME Support

India has officially joined the BRICS Centre for Industrial Competencies (BCIC) to aid in enhancing manufacturing and MSME capabilities across BRICS nations with an emphasis on Industry 4.0 advancements. This collaboration was marked by a Trust Fund Agreement between the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), solidifying India's role in this framework. The National Productivity Council (NPC) has been selected as the India Centre for these initiatives, leading efforts in capacity building and the implementation of advanced manufacturing techniques.
